Intro Text

Prior to joining any surf club, it is compulsory that all children (U6 - U14) be tested at the start of each season before they enter or participate in any Surf Life Saving Australia Junior Activity Program.

Each member needs to complete a swim proficiency which consists of a pool swim and survival float. (See swim proficiency form for age group requirements).

The best way to do this is to attend one of our Sign On Days held in August/September each year. If you cannot make one of these dates, you will need to have the following forms filled in and returned with payment one week prior to starting.

Membership Form (Forms are available at the sign on)

One form per child and at least one parent. It compulsory that one parent joins.

Any renewing members will have pre-filled membership renewal forms available at the sign on

Swim Proficiency Form (This is only required if you do not attend one of our sign on swims)

must be signed by an accredited coach with accreditation attached.

Parent Permission & Medical Form

You can join at any time during the season

Once your child has completed their Pool proficiency and all forms with payment are returned to the club they can start nippers. To participate in any water activity they must be able to complete their age group Beach Evaluation (Run-Swim-Run) which is normally done in the first few weeks of nippers. For nippers that can’t complete their run-swim-run competently they can still do inshore activities and beach activities until they are more competent.

If you’re 5 - 13 years old on Sept 30th 2023 you can join nippers.

If you’re 14 or older on Sept 30, you can join as a senior member.

Please contact the club 5539 8091 for more information.

If you’re 4 years old or younger on Sept 30, you’ll need to wait for the next season.
